[ALEXANDROS] is a 4-piece rock band from Tokyo, Japan. Formed in 2007, the band has released six albums to date with each subsequent tour selling out completely. [ALEXANDROS] has also been tapped to support some of the biggest names in alternative rock - including MUSE, Primal Scream and Kasabian - on their Japanese tours. Over the past few years, the band has expanded beyond their home territory by headlining shows in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Korea. They’ve also performed at globally recognized festivals such as SXSW in the United States and The Great Escape in the United Kingdom.
[ALEXANDROS] signed to Universal Music in 2015, and quickly released their first double A-side single of the partnership, “Wataridori / Dracula La”. The band’s critically beloved fifth studio album “ALXD” soon followed, debuting at No.3 on Oricon Weekly Album Chart. The band would top that with their sixth album “EXIST”, which debuted at No. 1 on Oricon Album Weekly Chart upon its release in November of 2016.
The summer of 2018 has been a big one for [ALEXANDROS]. On July 18th, the band released their new EP “Mosquito Bite” and the title track from that EP is featured prominently in the live-action film BLEACH. The band is following this release with a sold-out show at ZOZO Marine Stadium in Japan and will release a new full length record in the fall, which will be supported by their first ever US tour.
[ALEXANDROS] are considered rock icons in Japan and this fall should see the rest of the world catching on to the band as well.
